Memories...

I took a trip to Flamborough on the North East Coast of England this weekend and took full advantage of the surroundings under the full moon to do some light painting in a style that's a little different to my usual madness.

The rocky coastline with its high cliffs and caves is amazing. I'd been waiting for an opportunity to visit this place under the right conditions for a while. This is a place I'd visited many times as a kid, and was great to return.

Taken in a single exposure and lit using only the moon.

Awesome! I love the fusion between landscape and light painting -- I did one of these during my last backpacking trip, haven't gotten around to seeing how it came out but when it probably won't top yours ;)

Seen in my contacts' photos. ( ?² )

The whole shot was 200 seconds... may I ask about how long the orb took? The exposure was perfect to simulate daylight. Excellent work.

YEAHHH... You went then mate, looks great this and fantastic exposure control too. Looks like a great place for a bit of this kind of action. That milky sea in the background there is beautiful.

Thanks, unusual for me be pleased with it!

Seems even longer on the way back up!

The orbs take a about a minute to spin, then just waited around for it all to burn in

Yeah I went and loved it! Plenty more where this one came from!

I love orbs in these settings! I also cannot believe how I manage to miss so many full moons! I am always offshore for them :( I guess when I do catch one at home it will be during high summer ;) Anyway, very good one Andy :)
