House of the Banshee

Visited some abandoned buildings near a previous location, thanks to Vik for heads up on this one. I'd been meaning to visit for a while, I got creeped out last time I tried, I'd got the feeling someone was amongst the trees, and I later found out Vik had experienced the same feelings here. Well... I found it what out was, sort of. It's not a person, but some sort of animal and it scared the shit out of me. I noticed something light up in the trees, looked up to see two huge eyes staring at me, reflecting my torchlight. I'm not sure what it was, but it was MASSIVE and had a horrible piercing screech! I've never packed my gear away so quick, and fucked off instantly rather than find out what it was!

Slight crop and adjusted levels in Lightroom.

Well, I don't like it when they creep up on me! Can't they say "hey, I'm only a fox!" so I'm not scared! This was a big boy, much much bigger than the city dwellers around here.

Ha! Yeah, I'm a country boy and I've heard foxes at night all my life but it's a noise that just goes right through you every time. Great shot though
